Class Room -

The school has large, spacious and well furnished classrooms which is the pre-requisite for effective education. The school not only provides such facilities but also maintains them well so that the physical comfort during the classes does not prove a hindrance.

Computer and IT Lab. -

​In sync with the modern digital world of today the school has well furnished air- conditioned computer cum IT labs. More than  50 computers of the latest configuration and Multimedia  facilities aid the computer training and education that are a part of the school syllabus right from class 1. Latest software and net connectivity is available for ready use of students and teachers.

Physics Lab. -

Physics Lab is well equipped and the teachers efficiently impart the methods to the students for operating different apparatus.

Mathematics Lab. -

School has developed a ‘Maths Lab’ with Abacus Model and effective tools to make the subject more interesting and easy to learn.

Chemistry Lab. -

Chemistry Laboratory is effective in encouraging the students to perform various experiments to get the outcome by themselves and this can help them during the time of examination.

Bio Lab. -

In Biology Lab. students learn diversity of the living organism and can acquire better knowledge by observing the permanent slides of many micro-organisms.

Library -

A Library is an indispensable part of any good teaching institution and the school houses two well stocked libraries with an additional reading room to create an aura of learning. The library has more than 10,000 books in its lending section. The reference section holds 10,000 books, journals and encyclopedias. The school also subscribes for more than 20 monthly magazines and 8 daily newspapers. Thus the library proves to be a virtual reader’s paradise.

Music, Dance and Art Rooms -

Music, dance and art add dimension to education. Rooms are constructed exclusively for music, art and craft in the school. All modern as well as traditional musical instruments are available to cater to the varied interests of the young learners. The artistic bent of mind finds the right expression in the perfect ambience of these rooms.

Drinking Water -

The school has got installed numerous aqua-guards and water coolers which provide cool and fresh water to the students and staff members.

Auditorium -

The school has a modern state of the art Kshudiram Bose Auditorium. It is used for multifarious activities like conducting house activities, interschool competitions, indoor tournaments etc. apart from being a permanent platform for cultural stage presentations.

RULES OF DISCIPLINE:-

1. Show pride in their Alma Mater with a sense of belonging and adopt positive acceptable behavior
   inside and outside school.
2. Understand that any objectionable act or use of abusive language is liable for disciplinary action.
3. Take care of school property and maintain cleanliness, particularly of the classrooms.
   Students will be charged for any damages caused towards school property.
4. Bringing items that are not permissible will be strictly dealt with.
5. Students must attend school on a regular basis. A minimum of 80% attendance is mandatory for promotion
   to the next class.
6. Bullying, ragging, misconduct, misbehavior or any other violent forms of behavior are unacceptable and will
   be dealt strictly.
7. Prior permission from Principal / Vice Principal / Headmistress / Deputy Headmistress / Coordinator / Concerned
   Class Teachers is to be taken before leaving school in case of necessity.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION TO D.EL.ED COURSE:-

Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd) is a 2-year diploma course focused on primary teachers training. D.El.Ed provides training to the would-be teachers to teach students in the primary/upper primary school.

Eligibility and procedure for admission to Two Year D.El.Ed.Course (Regular/Face to face mode) - 
**Should be an Indian.
**Higher Secondary (+2) or its Equivalent Examination Pass with 50%.
** A relaxation of 5% marks (i.e. 45% in Higher Secondary (+2) or its Equivalent Examination) admissible to SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PH/EX-SERVICEMAN applicants.
**THE APPLICANT MUST HAVE STUDIED AT THE HIGHER SECONDARY  LEVEL  BENGALI / HINDI/ URDU/ NEPALI/ SANTHALI AS A COMPULSORY SUBJECT, CARRYING THE WEIGHTAGE OF 100 MARKS FOR ADMISSION TO BENGALI /HINDI URDU /NEPALI / SANTHALI MEDIUM INSTITUTIONS (AS THE CASE MAY BE). MUST HAVE ALSO STUDIED ENGLISH OF 100 MARKS AS THE SECOND/OTHER LANGUAGE.
**MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION: - BENGALI

Admission & Intake:

Admission shall be made through online counselling on merit basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or in the entrance examination or any other selection process as per the policy of the State and Government/ U.T. Administration and the University. Prabhat Jyotirmoyee College Of Education - D.El.Ed (A Unit of Prabhat Jyotirmoyee parivar) runs with one basic unit of 50 students.
